;-)

So yea, this has been a great year, so far. ;-) In the beginning of April, my brother Tom, his 4 year old daughter and I went to Las Vegas. It was hers and my first time there but Tom had been there a few times before. We were there for 6 days and are already planning our next trip. It was such an amazing time with SO much to see and do.
My other brother, Eric and his girlfriend, April are expecting their first baby. It's a boy and he is due on Sept 28th. So we have a baby shower that we're planning. We're super excited too!

Hats and beanie hats

Since beanie hats are quite popular, I thought I'd try my hand at crocheting some. They can be fun to make.

"Conquering The Dawn" painting

I really enjoyed painting this piece of art. I envisioned how it should look and I actually quite like the end result. Tell me what you think please. ;-)

Off Center Asymmetry

"Off Center Asymmetry" is what I named this painting. It took quite a few hours to complete, espcially since I was also babysitting my 4 year old. Lord knows children's needs should be provided for first! So taking a few breaks to do so was fine with me. When I started painting this, she had her own little canvas and small pallet of paints and she did great creating her own artwork. Naturally kids have a short attention span and after about 30 minutes of painting she wanted to go play. She was right in the next room where I could see and hear her. <3 I actually didn't finish this painting till after she went to bed.

Piercing the Darkness

Piercing the Darkness 8x10 painting made with acrylics.

I loved how the thought for this painting just randomly popped in my head and am so glad the finished product came out how I imagined. I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't come out so nice. I titled it "Piercing the Darkness."
